ANAEROBIC ADHESIVES AND SEALANTS
Anaerobic adhesives, THREAD LOCKERS, retaining compounds, THREAD SEALANT, GASKETING COMPOUNDS, are one-part adhesives that cure on active metal surfaces in the absence of oxygen in the bond line. The requirement for lack of oxygen means these chemistries do not bond well to glass, plastic or rubber.

UV curing can be considered a low temperature, high speed process, apart from being a solvent-free process, as curing occurs by direct polymerization rather than evaporation.
